For anyone who has yet to pick up the Wii U, Nintendo has announced a price cut coming on September 20th.  The current price of $349.99 will be reduced to $299.

The Wii U has had a rough time since it’s launch, so looks like Nintendo is finally biting the bullet in an attempt to drive up sales.  While the 32GB model will be made cheaper, the 8GB system which currently retails for $299 will be phased out completely.

Along with the price cut on September 20th, Nintendo will also be releasing a Wind Waker HD bundle.  The bundle will contain the standard 32GB system, a digital copy of Wind Waker HD, a custom Zelda themed gamepad, and a digital copy of the Hyrule Historia book.

Fans who are interested can purchase a digital version of the Wind Waker HD remake and be ready to download and play on September 20th, way before the hard copy release of the game which will be available on October 4th.
