One of the most popular features for Battlefield, Commander Mode, will be returning in Battlefield 4. Commander Mode will allow a single player from each team to “command” his team in a top-down interface. Through this mode the commander will be able to launch missile strikes, deploy gunships, give orders and will keep track of where their team is, including vehicles.

The Commander feature will also be supported on all platforms including tablets. Players can also play as the Commander entirely on a tablet without using a PC or console. Currently, only iOS and Android tablets are supported, sorry Windows.

Below you will see the difference in the commander screens between the PC and the tablet. The PC version of the interface contains more details than that of the tablet screen, however, the tablet will still have access to all the features that are available on the PC.
