This weekend Tales of Symphonia publisher Namco Bandai announced that the Tales of Symphonia HD collection will release this October exclusively on the PS3.

The collection includes 2 games, Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, and is tentatively being called Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. The collection will be released in Japan in October and then a worldwide release will follow in early 2014. Both games will see a full HD graphic makeover and will also include additional content that was not released with the original games.

The collection will come with new cover art and new costumes for both Lloyd and Genis that are based on the Tales of the Abyss PS2 game. The Japanese version of the collection will also feature a remixed theme song from the original Tales of Symphonia.
