With recent reports that gaming studio Zynga, was going to be closing its Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York offices, developer OMGPOP will be closing as a result. OMGPOP is the creator of popular game Draw Something. In 2012, when Zynga acquired OMGPOP, it was then considered Zynga New York. Several OMGPOP employees, including VP of outreach Ali Nicolas, and community manager Joseph Alminawi. The official OMGPOP Twitter sent out a tweet regarding the lay off as well.



Along with the Zynga layoffs, which affect 520 employees, the Zynga LA game Empires & Allies is scheduled to be shut down June 17th. Former OMGPOP CEO Dan Porter left Zynga just a few months ago.
