The Mass Effect 3 Datapad app is being retired and will be removed from the iTunes app store today, this was announced by Electronic Arts yesterday.

No reason was given as to why the app is being retired but the company suggested that players check out the mobile-optimized N7HQ instead.

The Mass Effect 3 Datapad app launched back in March 2012 and was the news and video hub for its space traveling role-playing game.

The next Mass Effect title is currently being worked on by BioWare and is described as “fresh and new.
