Daylight‘s publisher Altus, announced this morning that the game will be released in the first quarter of 2014. The game will be downloadable for PC, and is a PlayStation 4 exclusive. The psychological horror will make full use of the PlayStation 4’s technical features, including: RealD 3D support, gameplay sharing, and the integrated PlayStation Eye to take pictures of the player to share online. Daylight will be ran on Unreal Engine 4. The game was written by IGN vet, Jessica Chobot, and will not have any weapons for the player to use to fight off the enemies, you can only run from them.

In the game, you play as a woman who wakes up in the middle of the night in an abandoned insane asylum, with no recollection of how you arrived in this nightmare. Your only tools are the phone you use as a compass, a flashlight, and other odd items you pick up throughout the game. Daylight resembles Amnesia: Dark Descent but in a much more modern setting. You need to make your way through the maze that is the asylum, solve puzzles, and try to stay alive along the way.
