The game teased at over the past couple weeks by Bethesda, has been revealed this morning! The Evil Within is the first game from Shinji Mikami’s studio, Tango Gameworks. The game is set to release next year for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and “next-gen consoles”. The teaser for The Evil Within gives a glimpse of the horrific creations players can expect from the game.


Originally codenamed Zwei, the first look of the new survival horror game comes from a 2-minute video which shows a man creating his own barbed wire, a woman creature with 4 arms, loads of blood, and creepy music. The game will be directed by Mikami, who also directed and produced, Resident Evil and Dino Crisis, as well as the action games God Hand and Vanquish. 


“Highly-crafted environments, horrifying anxiety, and an intricate story weave together to create an immersive world that will bring players to the height of tension,” describes the Facebook page. You get a mild glimpse of these features in the teaser.


“We’re incredibly proud to announce The Evil Within. My team and I are committed to creating an exciting new franchise, providing fans the perfect blend of horror and action, said Mikami, “I’ve found my focus and once again I’m striving for pure survival horror. I am being very hands-on to see that the quality is there. Rest assured.”
