The latest Nintendo Direct let us know that a new Mario Maker title is on the way. It’s not a simple port of Super Mario Maker for the Wii U and 3DS; it’s a sequel branded as Super Mario Maker 2.

Nintendo did not provide many details about the game, but it will have a number of new features. From what we see in the trailer, the highly requested ability to create slopes has finally been added.

In addition, you can see new power-ups, new enemies, new customization features, and more. It even includes some elements inspired by Super Mario 3D World!

Are there any new features you’re hoping for in Super Mario Maker 2? Give us a comment and let us know!

Super Mario Maker 2 will release for Nintendo Switch this June.
