During the latest Nintendo Direct a lot of new information was dropped about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Included were new characters, online system, and the future DLC characters. Recently, Masahiro Sakurai confirmed that the roster of 5 DLC characters have been decided on. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s DLC line-up is now complete. This time the selection was made entirely by Nintendo. During the Nintendo Direct, it was confirmed that all the characters will be released throughout 2019 and February 2020, with Piranha Plant confirmed as the first DLC character for free until 1/31/2019 for those who purchase the game digitally through the eShop or register their copy of the game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate launches on December 7th for Nintendo Switch.
