It is almost Thanksgiving which means that it will only be 30 days before the biggest present giving holiday ever conceived, that’s right, X-mas. However while there will be many games out to give the gamer in your life, perhaps you were looking for stocking stuffers or a big gift to get that wasn’t a video game and yet very much something your present receiver would love. Well, here at Gaming Access Weekly, we hunted down some smaller, yet very nerdy companies, that are making and selling some amazing nerd culture gifts that you will just love. Everyone knows about companies like ThinkGeek but we wanted to call some attention to some other enterprises. Check them out!

Numskull

The people at Numskull make all kinds of cool gaming clothes and accessories. Right now is a great time to buy also considering they have all the ugly Christmas Sweaters you could want, from Assassin’s Creed to Spyro designs. “Numskull is gearing up for the festive season with the all-important Christmas jumper. Check out our selection of authentic geek gaming and pop culture novelty sweaters.” That’s not all they sell if you would rather those stocking gifts for your gamer. They have mugs, LED lamps, nerdy themed candle sets, and even bathrobes.

One of the products that really stood out to me as well as a headset holder. For those that don’t game let me explain. Trying to find a place for your headset is probably one of the most annoying things for a gamer after they are done for the day. either you just throw it on the desk or on the floor and they sometimes can get broken that way. Well, Numskull makes a model head that you can put your headset on. “Who is the head modeled after?” I can hear you all ask, well none other than everyone favorite Merc with a mouth, Deadpool!

So check out their website for more information and see if anything tickles your fancy.

Boss Drop

I met the man who runs Boss Drop at a few conventions now and I have bought a few of his products and I absolutely love them! While he might not have a lot of products, he is making a name for himself and he has more designs and ideas on the way. He designs all of the products and even handmakes many of them. This is a spot for an amazing little stocking stuffer if your gamer is into Overwatch. Boss Drop designs weapon pins for all your favorite Overwatch characters including Mercy, Reaper, Moria, Roadhog, Lucio, Mei, and all the rest! They are from his line called Pinwatch. They recently tweeted about the Brigette shield and it looks fantastic. Since Ashe has just come out, you may need to give Boss Drop a few months to get her design in but I have no doubt that her rifle will make an appearance.

Boss Drop also makes handmade wooden coasters that have references to Star Trek, Marvel, and there is even one for Gilmore Girls (which make me so happy)! Each coaster set comes in a package of six so all your guests can use one and not mess up the table. They also make a minimalist WASD hat for all you PC gamers out there. So, stop by their website to take a look at some inexpensive and cute stocking stuffers.

Raynor Gaming

This company would be the ‘big’ gift that families might be looking for the gaming fanatic in their house. Raynor Gaming designs and creates some incredible gaming chairs. Unlike their competitors out there that their chairs can make you feel sweaty and hot because of the all leather (or sometimes fake leather) Raynor has a patent on some very special material that never makes you feel that way.

Raynor Gaming chairs feature Outlast technology. Outlast proactively eliminates perspiration and stores excess body heat, keeping you cool and comfortable. Believe it or not, the Outlast tech they use was originally developed for NASA. The chair really keeps you cool in high-intensity gaming while playing shooters and keeps you comfortable while you roam open-world games.

Raynor has partnered with a few esports teams including Overwatch League’s NYXL and Team Dignitas as well as some NBA esports teams like the Cavs Legion GC. Eventually, they will have chairs designed for your favorite teams but for right now they have a few chair styles and colors for whatever your gamer is into. The chairs are pretty well priced considering all the tech that goes into them. While your chair would most likely ship after the holidays there is no better time to order than now. The company is even offering a 10% discount with the code Beardy10 until the end of November, which is very soon, also, free shipping (which is a fantastic deal with a gift this large)!

Check out their website for more information on the chairs but you can see them down below.

First Person Clothing

This clothing company is definitely a great place for the kid, woman, or man (of any size) in your life that is super nerdy and wants to find some amazing quality in their clothing. First Person Clothing is a one-stop-shop for nerds of all kind. If your gift receiver is into Star Wars, Marvel/DC, Harry Potter, Dr. Who, or gaming you can find something for them. They sell authentically licensed apparel from T-shirts, hoodies, bags, hats, and wallets of all kinds with amazing and interesting prints and designs.

This isn’t some mass-produced print you will find at Target nor is made of inferior quality. Most of the Tees are made with a mix of cotton and polyester and it has a wonderful feel to it. To be perfectly honest, I never want to get out of the T-shirt I have. They also have their own line of T-shirts that with their own logo them and some fun designs that mimic something like Tetris or FPS type games. If you know that your nerd is looking for a new backpack you may want to check them out. Their backpacks are pretty amazing and also have astonishing designs, most of which are great for carrying around their 15″ laptop and have all kind of compartments.

Go out and check out their website or find them at some conventions for more information. Order now for some great products and free shipping in the domestic US.

Fable Beard Co.

This one might ostracize many of the gamers out there this beard oil company produces products with gamers in mind, however, there are some women that can grow beards and I’m not here to judge. Fable Beard Co. has a few different scent profiles for their beard oil and balms. They also sell some apparel with their logos for your favorite scent. I guess the easiest way to tell you about them is like this:

  • Captain Red – Coconut, bay rum, spearmint, and fresh lime.

  • The Archer – Cedarwood, juniper berries, and cinnamon.

  • The Engineer – Sweet orange, pink grapefruit, lemongrass, and clove bud.

  • The Barkeep – Scent free but includes Jojoba Oil, Argan Oil, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, and Castor Oils.
  • The Scribe – Dark espresso and chocolate.

All products come in a glass dropper bottle or a balm can for easy application. If you are into a few of those scents there is a sample set you can purchase to find the aroma that best suits you in your beard growing adventure. While both the balm and oil are sold separately you can also buy them together at a discount which is always nice. The stocking stuffer for your gaming bearded friends and family is here. Just an FYI, the coffee scent, The Scribe, is currently for pre-order and not available for immediate purchase. However, it will be available soon.

Check out their website for more information and all their products.

Her Universe

Since the last company catered to men it is only fair to have a site for all those geek women out there. Her Universe specializes in Geek Girl Culture. “Her Universe is a groundbreaking fangirl fashion company and lifestyle brand founded by actress and entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein, whose mission is to create stylish, fashion-forward merchandise for female sci-fi fans.” They have a wonderful community that shows up at cons, has their own fashion show for nerdy dresses, and they just seem all around wonderful.

However, we are here to tell you about all the first you can buy including tees, cardigans, jackets, dresses, skirts, jewelry and more for the geeky girl in your universe. While they have recently partnered with Studio Ghibli to have a sweet Totoro line they also have products for World of Warcraft, Tomb Raider Star Wars, Dr. Who, and a whole bunch of Disney movies. Many of their products are made with cotton, polyester, rayon, spandex, and modal blends for both comfortability and function. They also sell all types of accessories from hats, jewelry, to beauty products.

Chief Operating Officer

I have worked hard to become the COO here at GAW and I love it. I write and stream here and I couldn't be happier. I once had a show that I produced, wrote, and co-hosted called the Wide World of Games. I also co-host a podcast called Party Up! I'm an Action-Adventurer, platformer, RPGer, and FPS kind of gamer. Quick to play any game that has magic, swordplay, and/or stealthy elements. If you can customize a character I'm in it for the long haul. Or just give me your 2D platform and I'm a happy camper. What else do you expect from a gamer with a beard and a bow tie tattoo? Seriously.
