When nothing for Vanillaware’s 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was announced at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, gamers could already sense the game’s development woes. And unfortunately, Atlus proved those hunches right today with some bad news.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim‘s PS Vita version will be cancelled, and its release date has been changed from “2018” to “TBA.” The company’s official statement explains that the delays were done “in order to make it into a more satisfying product that can meet the demand of fans, and to focus on the supported platform.” (Translation courtesy of Siliconera)

At this point, the news about delays is unsurprising. The game only has a few trailers from previous Tokyo Game Shows, and there isn’t any official gameplay footage yet. However, the game’s “TBA” date is what’s concerning. Is it possible that this game will see a 2019 release? We’re not sure, and Atlus seems interested in putting this project on the backburner.

13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim will release for PS4 at an unannounced date.
