An official Tweet confirms that Nintendo’s paid online service will be starting soon. From September 18th and on, all users will need to join Nintendo’s online service to play online. While we’re sad online will no longer be free, the Tweet mentions that everyone can receive a free two week trial. You’ll get just a little bit of extra time to enjoy online multiplayer for free, and enjoy the benefits of Nintendo’s premium service. #NintendoSwitchOnline memberships will start on 9/18. You can sign-up for a 7-day free trial from Nintendo #eShop at launch! We will introduce more information during the Nintendo Direct on 9/13.https://t.co/74Hzxk9spt pic.twitter.com/EJVFJH6F4I — Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) September 12, 2018 As a quick reminder, Nintendo has already released pricing information about its service.
