Gearbox just announced that Borderlands 2 would be getting the good old Game of the Year treatment.  Since it’s release back in September, the downloadable content for Borderlands has just kept coming.  Luckily, anyone who wasn’t able to pick up the game or its expansions will now get a chance.  Retailing at $60, the GOTY will contain all of the DLC that has been released up to date:

  • Borderlands 2 Main Game
  • Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s Booty
  • Mr. Torgue’s Campaign of Carnage
  • Sir Hammerlock’s Big Game Hunt
  • Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep
  • Creature Slaughter Dome
  • Gaige, the Mechromancer Character Class
  • Gearbox Gun Pack
  • Golden Key
  • Vault Hunter’s Relic
  • Krieg, the Psycho Character Class
  • Collector’s Edition Heads and Skins
  • Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 1

While that adds up to a fair amount of DLC, Gearbox still has more in the works.  Coming later this fall, they plan to release a second Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack that will raise the level cap to 72.  A little further down the line there will be another DLC release with the return of T.K. Baha, known as “T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest.”  These additional DLC’s will not be included in the GOTY edition however.

Not sure if that means we’ll be seeing a second, “complete” game of the year edition.

There's no problem that can't be fixed with fire. Doesn't matter what game. If that doesn't work, use more.
